Tastes Like: It’s not as spicy as you would imagine! But it is EVERY bit as chunky as the name suggests. It’s not so much a “dip” as it is a “scoop” or maybe even a “spread” – use a fancy little butter or cheese knife to put it on bread or crackers. I’ll admit I haven’t been around the block much on artichoke dips in general, but this tasted a lot like artichoke, very creamy, and with a VERY subtle kick from the jalapeño.
Great With: Very hearty, sturdy chips or rice crackers – not gonna lie, it takes a little practice to actually operate this dip. You can’t really “dip,” you need to “scoop.”
Perfect For: Semi-homemade crostini appetizers – because of the texture, it might be easier to dish this out in advance as opposed to having people try to dip it on their own.
Must Know: Not vegan, not labelled anything else.
Costs:
$3.69, making it a little more pricey than typical TJ fare, but it’s SO rich and SO thick, that a little bit really does go a long way.
