Whenever I feel self-doubt, sadness, or worthlessness, I remember my one-and-only theatre review from a performance of The Master Builder from two years ago.
|the famous final lines of The Master Builder, which I’d always dreamed of uttering|
Playing Hilda Wangel had been a dream of mine for a decade. Getting the part, speaking the lines, and bringing her to life on stage before an audience was enough of a dream come true, and then I received this review as validation:
My favourite line is the penultimate one.

How lovely to have such a great reminder of how well you did. You must have been so happy 🙂
I can picture 'I am a dazzling firecracker' being a really effective reminder or mantra whenever things get rough. A little weird if you say it out loud, perhaps, but effective none the less.
Great review. Give it's your one-and-only, you can claim you've had 100% positive feedback 🙂
Wow! I'm sure it was an amazing role to play, and then to get such glowing reviews is so awesome! =)
This Ever Evolving Life
Nice!!! This is an amazing review and I love that you have this in print as a reminder of how much of a firecracker you are! Way to go. 🙂
That's an awesome review, so wished I had seen the play. Love the picture as well!
oh! that is so cool! Lucky you to have something like this! I bet that it definitely works when you get upset about yourself! would love to have one myself! 🙂
well done you! 🙂
You should have had a review like this from EVERY play you were in…..!
What was the play you were in at college, in which you played sisters?? That one sent chills down my spine!
That was an all-female cast of "A Number" by Carol Churchill. And that one WAS fantastic.
oh, that's a wonderful review!
Dreams DO come true!
