Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Please, please, please.  If it’s snowing wherever you are, please post photos on your blog.

Here in NYC it has been bitterly cold, with zero snow.  I am in snow withdrawal.  I hail from the land of Too Many Snow Days, and have seen barely a flake this year.

Last Sunday, however, Central Park had a lovely dusting of snow on it and it almost felt like winter.  The paths were crusted with black ice, so I couldn’t walk through, but stood on the outside taking photographs of this surreal scene as though it were a diorama at the American Museum of Natural History:

So come on, snow!  Bring it on!  I’ve got water resistant boots, wool socks, mittens, and hot cocoa.  If I’m gonna freeze my face off, at least I should be able to look through my frozen booger-crusted face at some pretty white powder.  I think that’s only fair.

  1. I'm in snow withdrawal too! To make it worse, my parents keep getting snow all the time!
