Christmas has come and gone, even though it really doesn’t feel like it. I had a strange one this year: I woke up at 6am, took a bath by candlelight before the dawn hit, and then rode a train out to visit my Roommate’s family on Long Island. We chatted, ate, and watched Cabin in the Woods, which I highly recommend, though probably not while actually eating.
Wishing you all a happy Boxing Day. Traditionally, that is the day when service workers would receive gifts, and servants would get the day off to visit their families. So of course, I will be back at work. But before I get too depressed about my state of being, I would like to leave you with a photo of the coolest Christmas present received yesterday:
