Wow, my nose is just feeling pulled in so many different directions by so many different emotions.
Clearly, the bridge of my nose is shirking away from acknowledging the horrifying fact that the end of the week is Trump’s Inauguration. You can see the marked indent of cognitive dissonance, where my nose just refuses to come to terms with the fact that this is a reality.
But further down, you can see a defiant bump where my nose remembers that it’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and wants to believe that the moral universe does ultimately tend towards good, regardless of what’s happening up at the bridge of my nose.
Then you can see the robust bulbous tip of my nose, which is really happy right now, finally feeling secure in her own life circumstances for the first time in so long.
But please also note the redness and flaring around the nostrils, where my nose is secretly panicking about how long all the good things will last, because having seen rock bottom, my nose is deeply afraid of returning there.
In short, my nose is having a lot of conflicting feelings right now, and thanks you for your patience as my nose deals with this very difficult crossroads in time.
