Trader Joe’s Tuesday: Black Bean & Cheese Taquitos

Trader Jose’s Black Bean & Cheese Taquitos

Tastes Like:

Tiny little super-crunchy chewy tacos.  These were My First Taquitos (awww!) so if you have had taquitos before, you may find them similar to what you’re used to.  Flavorful filling, not too spicy, perfect corn tortilla that crunches up beautifully.

Great With:  Salsa, guacamole, and rice on the side.

Perfect For:  How can I say this and still sound respectable?  These are the perfect drunk food.  Uhh, case in point.  I’d had a few too many on an empty stomach one lovely Sunday afternoon and came home hungry.  Luckily, I was still able to operate the toaster oven.  These babies came out perfect despite my abyssmal cooking skills and advanced state of tipsiness.  They pair lovely with three martinis and Broad City on Hulu, in case you’re wondering.

Must Know:  They didn’t agitate my stomach (YES!) and the label doesn’t indicate any glutenous ingredients.

Costs:
$3.69 for what they claim is three servings.  Not bad!  These are absolutely worth it. If you love Fritos and black bean dip, I’ll expect a thank-you note in the comments after you taste these miracles!
