Trader Joe’s Eggplant Garlic Spread
Tastes Like: Kind of like moist, savory baba ganoush…
Great With: Spread, as they suggest, on rice crackers or corn cakes. A dip for carrots (my favourite)!
Perfect For: This would be a great spread for sandwiches. I used it in a pasta dish with spiralized zucchini and heirloom tomatoes and it was fantastic! This is a versatile texture and sweet/savory flavor that lends itself to getting creative!
Must Know: Appears on the gluten-free list on the Trader Joe’s website, but I can’t find it on either the vegan/vegetarian lists, even though it doesn’t contain any meat or animal ingredients.
Costs:
$2.49 and it goes a long way! Good thing, because you’ll be using it a whole lot!
