Knit Wit – A Yarn

Quick story –

Walking home from the subway last night at around 11:30, I accidentally kicked a rock into the shoes of the man walking in front of me.  Accident!

He was super bewildered and confused, looking all around suspiciously and nervously.

I felt so bad I had to stop and apologize.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t see the rock, I kicked a rock and it hit you, I’m so sorry.”

He finally calmed down, and gave me a placid, friendly smile.  It was then I noticed what he was carrying.

“Are you KNITTING?”  I asked incredulously.

“Yes,” he hissed defensively.

“With CIRCULAR NEEDLES?”

“Yeah…” caught off guard, he tentatively replied.

“Isn’t that HARD?”

“No, not at all,” he beamed.

“Well, have a good night!”  I bounced off cheerfully.

Oh, my neighborhood.

I love New York.  Just yesterday I snapped this photo of crazy graffiti on a subway route change announcement:
