FEELING:  Stressed and so #Blessed! I’ve been very busy at the studio this past month, and I *love* being busy! I’ve been having a lot of pain in my back and shoulders, but I made it a point to spend a day with my boyfriend at The Met and we ended up having an incredibly beautiful date day (making up for the fact that I worked straight through Valentine’s Day, ha).

.

WATCHING: When I get a moment to watch TV, it’s all about reality “trash”, as my loved ones would describe it. The Bachelor, RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 4, 24 Hours To Hell And Back, The Profit.

.

LISTENING TO: I have been doubling down on podcasts while at work. Some new ones: Page 7, from the Last Podcast Network, because I love Jackie Zebrowski’s exuberance! Crimes of Passion, on the same network as Assassinations! The Dear Prudence podcast, very chatty but I’ve been reading the Dear Prudence Slate column for YEARS and didn’t even *think* about the podcast! The Bowery Boys Podcast, which is my actual kink. I got heartburn when I heard them describing Lomex. I listened to like five episodes during a work shift on Saturday and it was the BEST!

.

WORKING ON: Well, WORK! Also, February I got my act together in my free time and have been scheduling blogs up to post in advance, and I’m very proud of being able to post 3x/week while working full-time!

.

THINKING ABOUT: Going to more museums, despite being as busy as I am, making the most of my free time (when I’m not too sick or injured to move).

.

EATING:  I’m so disgusting. Lately, I’ve only had a taste for cheese, mayo, & Sriracha sandwiches. When I’ve been too busy to go grocery shopping for weeks on end, I’ve been grateful for my shelf of non-perishable foods: Trader Joe’s canned chili, Amy’s soups, Trader Joe’s packet lentil foods. It’s been a short but very intense month.

.

LOOKING FORWARD TO:  SPRING! A few days here and there of warmer weather has whet my whistle for SPRING! Even slightly milder temperatures have been keeping me going. I know we’ve realistically got another two months before the switch is flipped and we abruptly enter summer, but I’m greatly enjoying these few days!

.

MAKING ME HAPPY: Being on the go, I’ve been getting daily motivation from my makeup/hair style routine. I’ve discovered some new fast hairstyles that hold up all day long (very important to keeping my long hair out of the toxic glue) and some makeup looks that work best for my features personally (I’ve started putting more eyeshadow in the inner corners of my eyes up to my eyebrows, as opposed to dragging it out into “wings,” and it’s made my eyes POP more. No training: I just love experimenting with makeup and it’s one of the things that makes me feel “special” even when I’m wearing a respirator, gloves, and apron all day long! I’m also thrilled that I spent one of my “free days” getting out and going to a museum… this winter has been really long and tough. I was so busy for all of December, got terribly sick in January, and February has been unpredictable, so I’ve been afraid to make plans beyond laundry & groceries. Being spontaneous made me feel vibrant and alive!
