WATCHING:  currently, Battlestar Galactica because it’s my favourite!  I’ve also watched a lot of LA Ink, as well as some cool movies:  Amelie, Clueless, Populaire, Miss Representation, When Strangers Click, I Give It A Year, and Clerks (for at least the fourth time).

LISTENING TO: Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by the Smashing Pumpkins.  Back to Black by Amy Winehouse.  And “No Surprises” by Radiohead.

WORKING ON: For over a week, I’ve been knitting an epic cowl for my grandmother.  It’s super soft, plush, and the prettiest orchid pinky/lavender.  Now that THAT’s over with, I want one for meeeee!  Also, I’m trying to duplicate this in a darker green:  So far, I’m about half finished and I’m so stoked on how cool it’s going to be! 

THINKING ABOUT:  What an incredible burden it is to have long-term memory.  When I first saw the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I thought it was stupid.  Who would ever want to erase their memories?  Now that I’m older (cough cough much older), I can understand.  It’s hard to have so many experiences.  Where do you draw the line between learning from the past and becoming hopelessly jaded?

EATING:  CARROTS.  I have a full-on carrot addiction and it’s getting crazy.  When I’m home knitting and avoiding the cold, I just graze on carrots.  Carrots in hummus.  Carrots in salsa.  Carrots in peanut butter (don’t knock it til you try it!).  One weekend, I ate a 16-oz bag of carrots EACH DAY.  I guess I need more variety in my diet?  But I suck at cooking and don’t want to waste time on it.  I’d rather be knitting or taking a bath.  Sorry, mom!

LOOKING FORWARD TO: Valentine’s Day, of course!  I have a date.  I have a date!  I’m going to New Jersey.  I’m going to – yup.  I’m really excited and don’t want to spoil anything but suffice to say, it’s going to be pretty awesome. 

MAKING ME HAPPY:  Long baths by candlelight, endless cups of tea, warmer weather (fingers crossed!) on the horizon!
