My Little Confession

I’m just going to come right out and say it:  I love My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic!

Some of you already know of this phenomenon.  I myself once scoffed.  It’s been a while since I’ve watched any cartoons that weren’t as trippy and terrifying as Akira.  But anything is worth a try, right?  And I found myself craving more and more.

Is it cute?  Yes.  Is it pink?  Hell yes.  But it is also sincerely earnest and truthful.  And I’m not even kidding, I learned some things.  Yes, beneath all the cutie pinkness, there are intelligent and useful messages.  Perhaps they’re aimed at children, but can also be helpful reminders for adults too!

And when it’s gray and ick outside, maybe a little sunshiney pink cuteness is just what the doctor ordered?

  1. I used to love My Little Pony. I would have a bunch of them all lines up around my room and I would spend hours playing with them, and carrying them around with me. I miss my friends.
